Getting personal[ity]

Life lately

Abby is relieved to have made the decision to find part-time childcare for Plum in order to find more work/life balance. Sarah is relishing everything spring.

Reading lately

Abby read Slammed, a young adult romance by Colleen Hoover. It’s a little cheesy, a little cliche, yet ever so enjoyable if you need are in the mood for a light read.

Sarah finished Hillbilly Elegy by J.D. Vance, a memoir that has received a lot of attention post-election. It chronicles Vance’s life growing up in Ohio and his thoughts on Hillbilly culture, growing up poor, life in working-class towns, and his love for his grandparents.

Personality

Want to know more about us? Listen to this episode to hear what Myers-Briggs types we are (take a shorter version here), which of Gretchen Rubin’s tendencies we identify with (another quiz to take!), and how we’ve changed (or not) over the years.

Eating lately

Unsurprisingly, Sarah’s eating more lentils, this time in the form of carrot lentil falafel burgers courtesy of Yummy Toddler Food.

Abby and family have been enjoying these saucy smoky chickpeas, albeit without the spinach.

  1. First off, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new logo. I see the InstaPots in there, which I think is hilarious and awesome.

Second, I am sure Abby will be shocked, shocked to know I just read the questions under the “Upholder” from Gretchen Rubin’s quiz and said, “Yep, that’s me.”

And third, I looked up my premarital counseling results on the Myers Briggs, and I was an ISTJ, and strong in every category. I took the Myers Briggs you all posted above, and I am still ISTJ. The only category I moved more towards the central on is T/F, with 57% Thinking. (In the ISJ categories I was at least 70% in each.)

Finally, can I request a show where you guys do the Enneagram personality test and discuss?? It’s another fascinating look at personality types and I would love to hear you two ruminate on it. 🙂

    1. LOL I am not surprised in the least that you are an upholder 😀 And we talked about including Enneagram this time, so it certainly might be featured in a future episode. Thanks for your suggestion! -A
