Parenting

We have a lot to say about parenting–our philosophies, reflections on how we were raised, and what aspects of parenting we like best and least. We draw parenting inspiration from many resources, but here are the ones we mentioned in the show:

  1. Hi Sarah and Abby,

I wanted to drop by and say Hi! I just listened to your podcast on parenting, and I really enjoyed it (even though I’m not yet a Momma myself).

One thing I really valued when I was growing up, and now too, is whenever I shared a jealous or similar unkind thought with my mom, she would often say “that’s just human nature, Meg.” It was so supportive and created a judgement-free space. She’s a great mom!

    Hope to see y’all soon!!

    1. I love that perspective! That is not something I have thought of but I can see how it creates openings for conversation, especially in the teen years. -S
